"Wild Strawberries" March For Human Rights
One month ago, pro-Taiwan Independence activists took to the streets in Taipei demonstrating against attempts by President Ma Ying-jeou,
to sell out democracy and freedom of Taiwan.
Two weeks ago, supporters of former pro-democracy President Chen Shui-bian demonstrated outside the detention center where the former President has been detained by the government. The signs read
"Chen Shui-bian Not Guilty." The former Taiwan President has been accused of dubious corruption allegation by the pro-China KMT party.
On the 13 November, I wrote here is China stirring up trouble in Taiwan, with the help of KMT President Ma Ying-jeou, is he receiving his marching orders from Beijing ?
A major test for the KMT will occur on Sunday when the pro-democracy activists return to the streets, challenging the
restrictive Assembly and Parade Law with an unauthorized protest march in Taipei at noon from Liberty Square.
