Taiwan Pro-Democracy Activists Removed By Police From Liberty Square
Activist for freedom and democracy wearing a T-Shirt with an image of former President Chen Shui-bian, outside the detention facility where Chen is being held on dubious corruption allegations.
During the evening a candle light vigil was held in support of Chen,
on the 60th Anniversary of Human Rights Day in Taipei.
The pro-democracy student organization Wild Strawberries criticized President Ma Ying-jeou, after the surprise eviction by Police early today of the 40 student protesters who remained at Liberty Square, following Sunday's rally.
