Final Summer Aliyah Arrives in Israel


The Final Aliyah Flight to Israel arrived today from the United States carrying 210 Jew's home. This flight is the final one for 2007 bringing a record number of new Jewish Immigrants to Israel. During the last 6 years over 12,000 new Olem have arrived into Israel.

During 2007 over 2,200 people made Aliyah which includes over 400 Single persons, 262 families with over 400 children and 115 people that joined IDF

Tel Aviv Chief Rabbi Meir Lau addressing the new arrivals said, "You made it...and for the first time you can look into the mirror and say, a year ago on the night of Passover and at the end of Yom Kippur, I said the same words, next year in Jerusalem but this is the first time that I meant it, that I fulfilled it, that I made it real."
