GM To Import Cars From China, UAW Only Has Itself To Blame Pricing Workers Out Of Jobs
General Motors China---the sign of Buick is seen under the Chinese symbol of Happy New Year, Good Fortune in Beijing.
Chinese imports could bring political for GM the UAW charged last week. The Detroit automaker intends to almost double over the next
5 years the number of vehicles it imports to the U.S. from Mexico, South Korea, Japan & China. GM has received a $15.4 Billion Dollar Bailout from the taxpayers.
GM must become competitive and lower costs which is accomplished by reducing its labor costs---the UAW only has itself to blame, pricing their union workers out of a job.
David Cole, Chairman of the Center for Automotive Research in
Ann Arbor, MI said that it makes good business sense to import cars from China...Obama should want to return the company to viability and the overall success of the company.
