Everyone is falling all over themselves making apologies for a "youthful indiscretion" and spinning the story to make Phelps,
look like he is a victim of circumstance.
The reaction to the withdrawal of Kellogg's sponsorship of Phelps,
his temporary suspension from competition and funding is dubious. Phelps said he "obviously should be punished for his mistakes."
What a smart-a@#---he is full of it.
Its not that people should be punished for "mistakes." The thing is, what he did was not a mistake. You don't "mistakenly" inhale marijuana from a bong. It's obvious from Phelps comments, that he believes he should not be punished and he is attempting his darnedest to make it seem like any penalty is unfair without actually saying so.
