Benedict XVI Turns Down Visit To Taiwan

Pope Benedict XVI received credentials from Taiwan's Ambassador to the Vatican, Wang Yu-Yuan, later praising their meeting, encouraging Taiwan & China to continue dialogue together towards unification.

Benedict XVI Abandons Taiwan and has affirmed that the Vatican is ready to move its diplomatic mission from Taiwan to Beijing.

The Vatican has turned down a visit to Taiwan next year during
the 150th Anniversary of the establishment of the Catholic Church
in Taiwan, promising instead to only send an envoy.

Benedict XVI should be supporting Freedom & Democracy in Taiwan instead of being willing to capitulate religious freedoms and values in exchange for totalitarianism and one party rule.
