Thousands rally in support of Beijing 2008 yesterday and to promote unity in the Olympic spirit. The rally had the theme "For Peace and the Olympics" and was organized on the Internet by a group of Chinese-American students.According to Hu Jie, two airplanes were rented to fly over the event trailing banners supporting the Olympics and condemning CNN Reporter Jack Cafferty's disgraceful remarks about the Chinese people.
