After blaming Israel for the assassination of Islamic Jihad Terrorist Mughniyeh, Hezbollah Leader Sheik Hassan declared an open war on Israel. It now appears that the Syrian President Assad's brother-in-law was in fact responsible for engineering the car bombing.
On 14 February I wrote here expressing my suspicions at the timing of the car bombing and asked, "Was the assassination of Mughniyeh carried out by Hezbollah...to blame Israel?" Muslim's never seem to have any difficulties murdering their political rivals.
Colonel Wasef Shweikat is now believed to be responsible for the assassination of Mughniyeh, after his wife who is Bashar Assad's Sister, relocated to Paris with her children.
