Maryland Governor Martin O'Malley seen here in May as he endorses Senator Hillary Clinton for President, has now given the OK for drivers licenses for undocumented aliens. Under the system, aliens only need to prove that they live in Maryland in order to obtain a drivers license.David Brinkley, Republican State Senate Minority Leader said, "The state is endorsing people to skirt the law...Maryland becomes a haven for people that are here illegally."
The two tiered system is similar to one that was proposed by Governor Eliot Spitzer, D-NY---he was forced to abandon the plan in the face of mounting opposition. Hillary Clinton was criticized when she said the plan was a good idea.
