Phony Navy Seal Sutter Cries For Defendants

One of the 7 men accused of plotting with Al-Qaeda to blow up the Sears Tower in Chicago was acquitted and a mis-trial was declared for the other 6 Defendants after a federal jury dead locked. Assistant U.S. Atty Richard Gregorie said that the DoJ will retry the other 6 in 2008

The phony Navy Seal Reverend Jim Sutter writes at his Hatewatch Hall of Shame site, "Another Terrorism Case Falls Apart"

One would think that the Reverend Jim Sutter who wears his patriotism on the back of his pants for all to see as he waddles by would try not sounding so gleeful but of course one should not expect too much from the CAIR apologist.

While federal prosecutors have failed to obtain convictions in some high profile criminal cases, it's important to review their entire record. Jeffrey Breinholt who led the prosecution for the DoJ said, "...you can not judge the continued viability of an enforcement strategy on an anecdotal case...it took us 3 times to finally get John Gotti and few people today argue that it was not worth it...the most recent was the Holy Land Foundation Trial, was actually the third HLF related case...the government won each of the first two cases and did so handily... consider that despite what the media claims whenever the government suffers a set back or less than satisfying victory in a terrorist finance case that we still win about ten times more than we lose. The number of people convicted of providing material support, either by jury trial or guilty pleas is over 1000% of those who are acquitted. Yes those persons convicted include Sami-al-Arian. That should give pause to those who claim that we need to think about some major calibration in our terrorist financing strategy..."

Between 9/11 and last July, the DoJ completed 68 of 108 prosecutions involving material support, resulting in 9 convictions, 30 guilty pleas and 11 guilty pleas on other related charges.
