Final Christmas Eve Mass At Ground Zero

The last Christmas Eve Mass was held at Ground Zero with about 75 people in attendance Rev. Brian Jordan officiated the Mass where families had an opportunity to pray. A Sanitation Worker that was involved in clean-up has sung at each Mass since 2001 sang God Bless America & O Holy Night at the final service.

Construction at the site is intensifying and is taking up more and more space. The first Mass came just 3.5 months following the disaster as workers were still cleaning up the site

Rev. Jordan said, "Many felt sad it was the last official on-site service but adds the occasion brings closure."
