U.S. Specials Forces Capture 80 Al-Qaeda Terrorists Operating In Iraq

A joint 3 day operation nets 80
Al-Qaeda Terrorists killing three of them in Iraq.

The raids took place in the Hamrin Ridge and Diyala River Valley areas ending yesterday.

During the operation, Al-Qaeda fighters attacked U.S. and Iraqi forces with small arms and machine gun fire. U.S. Special Forces called in air strikes which resulted in 1 Al-Qaeda fighter being killed before the remaining surrendered.

U.S. Special Forces seized 40 AK-47 assault rifles and ammunition, more than 1,000 Iraqi forces took part in the operation. Many of the Al-Qaeda forces are believed to have implanted road side bombs according to the U.S. Military.

Despite 6 years of promises the Saudi Arabia government has failed to crackdown and pursue wealthy contributors to Al-Qaeda. Yasin al Qadi a wealthy Saudi businessman named by the United States and U.N. lists as a financier one month following the 9/11 attacks are among those identified as donors, he remains free and is a prominent figure in Saudi Arabia.
