Last week The Columbus Dispatch published an Editorial Cartoon which CAIR found offensive. CAIR quickly mobilized its dwindling membership complaining about the cartoon.
Glenn Sheller, Editorial Page Editor said, "...CAIR claims the cartoon demeans all Iranians...it is clear the cartoon refers only to those elements of the Iranian regime that supports extremism...CAIR likens the cartoon to Nazi propaganda. This is a remarkable display of intellectual gymnastics. Iranian President Ahmadinejad has called for the destruction of the Jewish state and questions the Holocaust, while his regime tries to develop nuclear weapons. If CAIR is really truly concerned about Nazi ideas and the use of Nazi methods, it should direct its attention to Tehran...CAIR has misrepresented this cartoon and missed the mark by fabricating a false grievance."
CAIR would surely not come running to the rescue the apologist for HAMAS, the purveyor of Islamic Terrorist Thug propaganda. The unindicted co-conspirator in the terrorism financing case in Dallas, TX. The same organization that said that the two Egyptian students at the University of South Florida who were caught with pipe bombs near a South Carolina Navy Base "...were just naive kids with nothing but fireworks..." CAIR to the rescue.
