Ahmadinejad Speaks at Columbia University

Holocaust Denier President Ahmadinejad spoke this afternoon at Columbia University amid protests, his rambling remarks were more like a convoluted sermon than an address, quoting the Quran, warning about corrupting influences and continued calling for investigations into the Holocaust "...approaching from different perspectives." Ahmadinejad claimed that Iran was a victim of terrorism and that "... Iran is a peaceful and loving nation...the rights of all human beings should be respected...in Iran we don't have homosexuals like in your country...[audience broke out in laughter] we are a cultured nation..."

It is unfortunate that Columbia University ostensibly dedicated to the pursuit of truth and intellectual freedom should choose to provide a fascist, so divorced from reality and history a platform to espouse his rhetoric.

Ahmadinejad claimed today that the "...Iranian people are very joyous and happy people, they are free in expressing what they think...Women in Iran are the freest in the world..."

On June 29, 2006 an Islamic Court sentenced Malik Ghorbany a 34 year old mother to death by stoning for adultery. The size of the stones to be used during the execution were not to be too large to cause death too quickly and not to small that they would fail to cause pain or injury. The stone throwers were members of the community, this festive occasion allowed parents to bring their children to join in the fun.

Women in Iran are considered sinister and satanic, the embodiment of seduction, a woman must stay at home to serve her husbands carnal desires.

Mullah Mohamed Yazdi has said, "...if kneeling before God were not obligatory, wives should have knelt before their husbands...a woman is wholly the possession of her husband and her public life is conditional upon her husbands consent."

Women are slaves in Iran and may enjoy freedom of speech while being stoned to death for violating archaic morality laws.
