Freshman Congressman Keith Ellison (D-MN) who insisted that he be permitted to take his Oath of Office on a Quran, put in a call to the Capital Hill Police to report a serious crime and breach of the public trust by Tom Tancredo (R-CO) who was smoking a Cigar in his own Congressional Office.
Under House Rules, Members of Congress are permitted to smoke in their offices.
Rep. Ellison, no stranger to controversy during his brief tenure in Congress, has Co-Sponsored H.R. 333 the Congressional Resolution to Impeach Dick Cheney, the resolution was authored by Rep. Dennis Kucinich (D-OH) who lags far behind in the polls in his latest quest to become President.
Currently the resolution has a total of 10 co-sponsors in the 435 Member House and the resolution has been referred to the Subcommittee on the Constitution, Civil Rights and Civil Liberties, Chaired by Rep. Jerrold Nadler (D-NY) the Congressional Committee has not scheduled any hearing on H.R. 333 and without a positive referral from the Judiciary Committee or approval of the Speaker, Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) H.R. 333 will never be considered.
Rep. Ellison is drinking Kool Aid from the same cup as Rosie O'Donnell and Cindy Sheehan, in his wacky conspirator views of 9/11 Speaking to a group of Atheist's Mr. Ellison said, "...it's almost like the Reichstag Fire, kind of reminds me of that. After Reichstag was burned they blamed the Communists for it and put the leader of that country (Hitler) in a position of authority to do whatever he wanted..."
