Top Al-Qaeda Leader Captured in Iraq
The U.S. Military announced today that they have captured top Al-Qaeda Leader Khaled Abdul-Fattah Dawoud Mahmoud al-Mashhadani, aka Abu Shahid, aka Omar al-Baghdadi, in Mosul on the 04 July.
According to the military, this is a huge arrest as the Al-Qaeda Terrorist is "...singing like a song bird...and is shedding light on the workings of Al-Qaeda in Iraq and its connection to Al-Qaeda outside of Iraq....he has served also as Al-Qaeda Media Emir for Iraq."
Mashhadani is a close associate of Abu Ayyub al-Masri and has served as an "intermediary" between Masri, Osama bin-Laden and Ayman al-Zawahiri.
"Mashhadani has a long history in Iraq's Salafist Terror Networks and was a leader in the Ansar Al Sunna Terrorist group before joining Al-Qaeda..." said Brig. General Kevin Bergner.
The United States is engaged in fighting the Islamic fascists who attacked us on 9/11 wherever Al-Qaeda is, while the Congress continues to debate its "Cut and Run" strategy.
