Israel Company Plans to Build Worlds Largest Solar Park In California



Israel's Solel Solar System announced plans last week to construct the worlds largest solar park in the Mojave Desert in California which will generate enough electricity to power 400,000 homes in Central and Northern California according to Pacific Gas and Electric.

The $2 Billion Dollar project is expected to be finished by 2011 and stretch over 6,000 acres or 9 square miles.

David Saul, project manager for the Mojave Solar Park said that components for the plant will be manufactured at its plant Jerusalem.
