Choosing a Leader in 2008

In 17 months Americans will go to the Polls and choose our next President who must be a Leader, with a a set of values and principles that do not flutter with the wind, a individual with political experience and a person of unquestionable character.

Fred Thompson a Conservative Republican first arrived in the United States Senate in 1994 to finish the final 2 remaining years of Al Gore's unexpired term being re-elected to a full term in 1996. While in the Senate, Fred Thompson served as Chairman of the powerful Committee on Governmental Affairs.

Many people know Fred Thompson as "Arthur Branch" on the NBC hit series Law & Order which he had done until the end of May, when he asked Producers to be released from his Contract as he explores the potential of seeking the GOP Nomination for President.

A Visiting Fellow with the American Enterprise Institute, researching National Security & Intelligence matters, a former U.S. Attorney from 1969-1972 with a Law Degree from Vanderbilt University and graduate from Memphis State University with a double major in Political Science & Philosophy, Fred Thompson has shown himself as a Leader and is respected on both sides of the political isle. An individual that has the quality of being able to speak directly to the American people and the courage of his moral convictions.

Democratic candidates who are stumbling all over themselves attempting to "out liberal one another" have not been willing to address the important issues of the day and instead have initiated a daily dose of liberal rhetoric and defeatism about really important matters as the War on Islamic Terrorism which the next President must be willing and able to prosecute.

In an on-line survey of Presidential hopefuls, Hillary Clinton did not lead the Democratic contenders at all and of likely Democratic voters a solid 78% said they would not choose Senator Clinton.

Senator Obama who can't seem to remember what year he was born, has claimed to be a "product of the Selma March" even though he was actually born four years prior to the event. Its not at all surprising that CAIR Supporter, Congressional Representative Keith Ellison (D-MN) has endorsed Mr. Obama for President.

The liberal anti-semitic organization "Move-On.org Action Forum" that has given money and support to Democratic candidates has accused the Bush Administration and the prosecution of the War as, "...largely the result of excessive Jewish influence over Congress and the media...that the Jewish policy makers and Zionists had a secret plan to invade Iraq and conquer the Middle East...a plan pushed by the all powerful Israel Lobby." Move-On Political Action Director Eli Praiser told the Washington Times (September 13, 2006) that the organization knew nothing about the anti-semitic comments posted on its web site even though the organization employed full time monitors on their site.

Character and Honesty do matter after all in politics and as the truth has escaped the Democratic hopefuls like Senator Obama who was born August 04, 1961 in Hawaii, who over-states facts such as when he said, "...in case you missed it this week there was a tragedy in Kansas, 10,000 people died an entire town destroyed..." when speaking about the Tornado in Greensburg, Kansas. Likewise Illinois Senator Obama claimed, that the National Guard in Kansas could not assist in the efforts following the tragedy because of the war in Iraq. The Kansas National Guard had 40% of it's equipment available and their equipment resources were not depleted as Senator Obama claimed to a sparse crowd of 500 supporters attending a political fund raiser in Richmond, VA at an Arts Studio last month. As the voting public are considering their choices in the 2008 primary for a strong GOP candidate, Fred Thompson understands that Islamic extremists are a threat to peace and security and our survival. Mr. Thompson has emerged as a leader, scholar and business executive who is refreshingly plain spoken and is guided by truth, wisdom of his experiences and not just big ideas.
