Janes Defense Weekly made the image available provided by Digital Globe, North Korea claimed that they launched a three stage rocket into orbit from Musudan-ni but it was a technical failure not reaching orbit and crashed into the Pacific Ocean.
"After North Korea's test of a long range rocket, the Obama Adinistration finds itself with a second bite of the geostrategic
apple," writes John C. Wohlstertter.
"North Korea's missile test is no doubt a step in the direction of deploying an intercontinental ballistic missile, an orbital test or satellite launch is based upon the same rocket propulsion and guidance technology and thus serves as ballistic missile technology test."
