Clinton Blames USA For Much Of Mexico's Gun Violence, What Are The Facts?

Honesty may be the best policy but all too often, the truth has escaped the Clinton's.

While on a flight to Mexico last month, Secretary of State Hillary Clinton claimed that 90% of the guns found in Mexico used by the drug cartels, come from the United States.

In reality, nearly all of the guns found in Mexico don't come from the USA at all, only about 17% of the guns used by the Mexican drug cartels originate from the USA.

So then, if not from the USA, where does the Mexican drug cartels get their weapons from?

Mexico is virtually an arms bazaar, fragmentation grenades come from South Korea, AK-47's from China, shoulder fired rocket launchers from Spain and former Soviet bloc countries. Interpol says that Russian crime organizations are actively trafficking drugs and arms in Mexico.

The exaggeration of the United States being responsible for the lawlessness in Mexico and 90% falsehood is believed by many, designed to promote more restrictive gun laws in the United States
and re-institution of the assault weapons ban that expired on September 13, 2004
