Yesterday Obama nominated Sen. Judd Gregg, R-NH to head Commerce Dept. The GOP Senator was not Obama's first choice.
In December during the transition, "The One" picked Governor Bill Richardson, D-NM to lead Commerce but Richardson was forced to withdraw himself from consideration, once it was revealed that he
was under federal investigation for a pay to play scheme, in which businesses were awarded contracts in part for making political donations to Richardson.
