China Prepares For Year of Ox

Children from Sichuan Province are warmly greeted at the railway station in Cangzhou, Hebei Province today. Children from ten poor families were invited by a volunteer charity to spend Spring Festival.

According to the Chinese Zodiac Calander, Year of the Ox lasts from January 26, 2009 to February 14, 2010

Spring Festival is the oldest and most important festival in China, celebrating the earth coming back to life, a day filled with food, fun and festivities people from different areas have different habits about the food they eat and traditions for this very special occasion.
