Illinois Governor Rod Blagojevich has been arrested by the FBI for attempting to sell the U.S. Senate seat vacated by President-elect Barack Obama. On 02 December, Blagojevich looks on as Obama shakes hands with Florida Governor Charlie Crist, Obama was attending the National Governor's Association meeting in Philadelphia.
Charged in the criminal complaint both Democratic Governor Bagojevich along with his Chief of Staff John Harris conspired to seek a Cabinet Level Position in the Obama Administration, in exchange for appointing a union preferred candidate to the U.S. Senate
