What's up with the polls?

How really accurate are the public opinion polls ?

In his column, D.J. Drummond argues, "the polls are wrong,
very wrong."

During the 1980 Presidential Campaign Ronald Reagan trailed
Jimmy Carter among likely voters in a poll conducted October 24-27
by 8 points, subsequently defeating Carter in a landslide victory by nearly 10% points.

The polls are indeed dubious---with the Dinosaur Media in the tank
for "The One" there is much to be suspicious of.

Do we have the Right to Vet the Media?
