One year subsequent to the disclosure of SARS to the world, Dr. Jiang Yanyong was questioned by Chinese authorities over the leaking of a letter that he wrote to Chinese Leaders about the handling of the Tian'anmen Square Protests in 1989 which left many hundreds of people dead. Dr. Jiang, encouraged that China reappraise the June 4 student democratic movement as a "Patriotic Movement."
