Sichuan Earthquake Damages Treasures




Pictured here Chinese National Treasures that were heavily damaged during the Sichuan Earthquake. Qinyanlou Tower, Fulong Taoist Pagoda, Langzhong White Pagoda and the Erwang Temple.

Some 568 Tourist attractions were damaged. Sichuan is a paradise for Tourists, with its spectacular natural beauty. Most of the ancient buildings at the Erwang Temple known as the Temple of Two Kings were to honor Bing Li and his Son and built 2,000 years ago in Dujiangyan have collapsed.

Wenchuan County just prior to the catastrophic Earthquake had just been recognized for its preservation of cultural treasures.
