Empty My Piggy Bank To Help Children



Yang Jiayun blows bubbles in front of a tent in Sichuan Province where she has been relocated since the devastating May 12 Earthquake. Injured children from Mianyang City smile as they are enjoying a fun filled day at a Safari Park in Chongqing Muicipality, the children were accompanied by Nurses.

Liao Yu, an injured boy plays ball with volunteers in Beijing as he is now being treated at Beijing Geriatric Hospital, more than 10 children were transported there to recover from the Sichuan Earthquake.

More than 500 Students and Teachers of a middle school have been relocated to a mobile school as classes are resuming in Sichuan Province. The school is the first to resume normal classes since the magnitude 8.0 Earthquake.

Before the disaster , the county had more than 15,000 Students and 1,302 Teachers but tragically, 374 Students and 28 Teachers lives were cut short on May 12

Chinese Authorities have said that 69,019 people have perished as a result of the devastating Sichuan Earthquake, 373,573 people were injured and 18,627 remain missing. More here from China Daily
