China Preparing For Beijing 2008

NBA All-Star Yao Ming, has set up a foundation with a $2 Million Dollar donation to rebuild schools in the earthquake devastated Sichuan Province. "Everyone knows about the recent tragedy in China, the earthquake tragedy was the worst in history," said Yao Ming. More here from China Daily

The Yao Ming Foundation will help to raise funds and awareness of children's wellness and welfare issues in China and the United States.

China has launched a new communications satellite for Olympic Television Broadcast, audiences from around the world will be able to watch live broadcasts of the Olympic events, the quality and coverage of China's television and broadcasting services are expected to be increased.
