Democrat's Need To Learn A Lesson From Our Chinese Friends

Democratic Presidential Candidates Obama & Clinton who fear Free Trade, Competition & Innovation are continuing to cry for protectionism and tax increases as a way to protect American Jobs to spur economic growth and development?

British Foreign Secretary David Millbrand has said that Britain is concerned by the trade protectionist stance taken by Democratic Candidates, Financial Times reported Monday saying, "...American Internationalism has been a feature of all periods of global progress...It's absolutely clear that the world needs an America thats engaged with the global trading system in a very fundamental, a very committed way. The problem is not too much trade, the problem is too little trade..."

"In the post World War II era, the United States was the champion of global trade, overseeing the creation of much of the infrastructure, since the normalization of U.S. relations with China in 1979, Washington & Beijing have cultivated cooperative policies...In 2007, U.S. imports from China amounted to $322 Billion Dollars about $10 Billion more than from Canada...U.S. exports to China have grown rapidly to $65 Billion Dollars...said Dan Steinbock, Research Director at the International Business at the India, China and America Institute.

Continued global economic growth and the robust demand for the global markets have contributed to China's increasing foreign trade. "China will continuously endeavor to improve its trade pattern...said Yushi Li, Vice President of Chinese Academy of International Trade & Economic Cooperation.

As China strives to expand its market and continues to realize strong economic growth, Democrat's should be learning a lesson from our friends in China, that competition, free trade and tax cuts spurs economic growth, development and prosperity.

Tired old protectionism policies would isolate the U.S. from the world market place, resulting in reduced economic growth and job losses.
