Da Bie Shan Primary School China
In China today some 400,000 children are attending privately run Migrant Schools which play an essential part in Chinese society. These schools have managed to provide affordable education to children while preventing child labor and illiteracy.
Seen here, old desks and chairs before a program was started to refurbish the school---today the children use these beautiful new desk and chairs for the 500 children attending Da Bie Shan Primary School. Pictures of some of the happy children that attend school today.
Migrant Schools not only offer shelter to the children that have been neglected or abandoned by their parents, they care for the children largely supported by private donations.
Earlier this month I had written here 3rd Annual T-Shirt Day Making Children Happy.
While education is often times taken for granted in the USA, some children would not be so fortunate if it wasn't for schools such as Da Bie Shan Primary.
