Chinese-Americans mobilize to help survivors of the catastrophic earthquake

The situation at the epicenter of Monday's earthquake is much worse than expected, an estimated 7,700 people died and more than 1,000 have been badly injured from Yingxiu Town, Wenchuan County where the population was 10,000 Cries for help can be heard from under debris at the local school but people had to dig with their hands to reach survivors, as blocked roads hampered rescue crews and machinery from entering the community.
