No to Chinese Negative News

CNN Jack Cafferty who has called Chinese "a bunch of Goons & Thugs" sparked protests in Los Angeles over the weekend with demands that he be fired for his bigoted remarks.

Lake Wang told the L.A. Times, "We understand free speech...but what if he said that about other racial groups, I think he would be fired..."

CNN on behalf of Cafferty made a lame apology saying, "It was not Mr. Cafferty's nor CNN's intent to cause offense to the Chinese people and we would apologize to anyone who has interpreted the comments in this way. Cafferty was offering his strongly held opinion of the Chinese government, not China's people....CNN is a net work that reports the news in an objective and balanced fashion...as part of our coverage, we also employ Commentators who provide robust opinions that generate debate."

CNN claims they are "the most trusted name in news." CNN--True Lies
"...CNN asked a reporter to interview ordinary Chinese in Beijing. So the reporter asked a mid-aged lady on the street of Beijing whether she knew the torch relay in Paris. The woman replied in Chinese that she read it from the newspaper. The CNN Reporter in Beijing then turned back and told the anchor---as well as the entire audience whoever watched the news at that moment, "no there is no news coverage at all." It's the attitude that these mainstream broadcast their lies and virtually f*** the brains of the entire audience right in front of them..."

Words mean something Cafferty & CNN, have demonstrated their prejudice, arrogance, ignorance and hostility towards an entire culture, which is unacceptable and not only hurtful but disrespectful. Cafferty has demonstrated no shame and CNN's apology lacks sincerity as does their reporting.
