William F. Buckley, Jr. 1925-2008
Wm. F. Buckley, Jr. best known as the Founder & Publisher of National Review and Host of Firing Line, was found dead this morning in his Stamford, CT. home.
Born in New York City, Mr. Buckley developed a passion for music, sailing, horses and story telling. The author of a number of books, he became the Father of American Conservatism and authored Conservative Column "On the Right" and for the past 35 years his magnificent works have been distributed by more than 330 publications across the country.
National Review has republished Wm. F. Buckley, Jr. editorial which appeared in the first issue of the National Review on Nov. 19, 1955
On February 02 Wm. F. Buckley demonstrated is continued wit and keen insights in his editorial entitled "Fowlerspeak-Goodspeak" reflecting on the borish Democratic debaters.
Rest in peace Mr. Buckley, you will be missed.
