Doctors In Israel Providing Quality Care To Anyone In Need

Scores of Arab children with serious medical conditions are being treated at Hadassah University Hospital and are being seen by some of Israel's finest physicians without cost to their families.

Doctors at Hadassah University Hospital have treated more than 200 Arab children who had gone untreated because of a lack of proper medical care in Gaza. Palestinian Hospitals have never neared the standard of care of those in Israel due to their continual turmoil.

The most common condition among patients being seen is congenital heart disease, which is especially prevalent in Arab populations because Women do not undergo sufficient prenatal screenings. The most serious cause is the high rate of marriage between relatives including first cousins.

Haddassah University Hospital has also witnessed a growing demand for their care and treatment of patients from around the world for medical treatment. In 2006 some 15,000 foreign visitors traveled to Israel for complex medical care from heart surgery, neurological treatment to rehabilitation after accidents. Every patient receives first rate care for a fraction of what it may otherwise cost elsewhere.

Israel provides medical care to the world and are treating children of Muslim families because it is the right thing to do. It would sure be nice if others would consider this before speaking another ill word about Israel.
