Coskata Energy a bio-fuel company in Illinois says that it can make Ethanol for less than $1.00 a gallon and they do not need any corn to produce the fuel.
Coskata in Warrenville, Illinois says that it can produce fuel using biomass, municipal solid waste and other carbonaceous materials.
Wes Bolsen the companies V.P. of Business Development said, "Its not 5 years away its not 10 years away, its affordable and its now." The company intends to have a pilot program underway this time next year producing 40,000 gallons of fuel a year. The company plans to have its first commercial scale plant producing up to 100 million gallons of ethanol by 2011
