California Global Warming Law Suit Dismissed

U.S. District Court Judge Martin Jenkins, today granted a Defendant's motion to dismiss a complaint under the caption of State of California v. General Motors Corp. , et. al. Case No. C06-05755 which alleged that the nations 6 leading auto makers are accountable for global warming.

California last year filed suit against the auto makers seeking the recovery of millions of dollars in damages from the effects of global warming induced floods and droughts. The Judge ruled today that it was impossible to determine to what extent if any the auto makers have for global warming.

Deputy Attorney General Ken Alex who represented the State of California said, "We will give some serious considerations to an appeal.
