The U.S. Navy announced on Tuesday that it has deployed the Enterprise Strike Group to its fleet near Iran. The Strike Group includes the flagship USS Enterprise which is also home to a Carrier Wing and other Ships which include a Navy Destroyer and Guided Missile Destroyer.
Tensions have risen over Iran's Nuclear threat's to Annihilate Israel. President Ahmadinejad has repeated his threat against Israel and has said, "...the countdown has begun."
Israel Defense Force (IDF) has said on Tuesday that Iran is coming closer to developing functional nuclear weapons, saying the Islamic Iran, may be able to produce weapons within the next 6 months. IDF Intelligence does not believe that Iran will have complete functional nuclear capabilities for the next 24 months. (Arutz Sheva, July 10, 2007)
IDF fears that Syria is positioning themselves towards a War with Israel this Summer, according to the U.S. State Department, Hezbollah has been "...armed to the teeth." Iran has shipped weapons to Syria which has been sent to arm Hezbollah.
The new British Foreign Secretary David Miliband announced yesterday, "That Britain will maintain a tough stance on any attempts of Iran to acquire nuclear weapons and the Prime Minster will not moderate its position on Iran...which does not have the right to undermine the stability of its neighbors and doesn't have the right to set off a nuclear arms race in the middle east."
The USS Enterprise motto is, "Ready on Arrival" and according to the Navy "...the Strike Group will enhance security and stability in the maritime environment as well as compliment the counter-terrorism and security efforts of regional nations. These operations deny international terrorists use of maritime environment as a venue for attack or to transport personnel, weapons or other material..."
Commercial satellite imagery shows that Iran is building a tunnel complex near a mountain close to a nuclear site, its believed it would be utilized to protect uranium enrichment from an aerial attack. The construction activity is taking place in the mountainous area close to its Natanz Site, which is in the central part of Iran. Uranium is being made there in defiance to U.N. Security Council demands for Iran to halt the process. Other satellite imagery shows that Iran has already built a tunnel complex near the Isfahan conversion plant to protect its nuclear related equipment and materials.
Iranian fascist Ahmadinejad has boasted to Al Jazeera (June 22, 2007) that it has developed 100kg of enriched uranium which has been delivered to storage facilities.
Grand Islamic Wizard Ayatollah Ali Khamenei has likewise stated, "...Iran is willing to pay the price to realize the aims of its nuclear programs..."
According to Al Jazeera Iranian President Ahmadinejad reiterated his threat against Israel saying, "...last summer's war between Israel and Hezbollah started a countdown that will end with the Lebanese and Palestinian fighters destroying Israel."
