U.S. Senator Voinovich Implodes on Sean Hannity Program
Last night while watching the "Hannity & Colmes" program on FOX News Sean Hannity re-played his interview with Sen. George Voinovich (R-OH) who complained that his constituents have attempted to "intimidate him" by calling his office and telling the Senator that if he supported the latest Immigration initiative being considered in the Senate that they would not support him when he seeks re-election.
Congress wants us to vote for them but how dare one share their views with their congressional representatives because if one does, the small minded people that we are, now are "intimidating" Members of the Elitist Congress.
When asked about amendments of the immigration bill being voted on, the Senator from Ohio was unfamiliar with the amendments and had erroneously believed that would have required undocumented aliens to return to their country of origin had passed when it had actually failed 53-45 Senator Voinovich could not understand how that could be, because Sha-Zam, he had voted for it.
Sean Hannity inquired what the Ohio Senator thought about the "Fairness Doctrine" the Senator quickly said, "I am all for it whatever that is...I think everyone should open to show the other side, that is what you do every night on FOX, I think its great."
Mr. Hannity explained to the Senator from Ohio that the "Fairness Doctrine" would establish a federal bureaucracy to determine fairness in talk radio.
Before ending the conversation with Sean Hannity, Senator Voinovich who had become agitated complained that, "...during my 40 years in this business I've looked at both sides of the issues...I don't think there is any point in talking with you further, you are just looking for someone to agree with you, I am disappointed in you." Click.
How dare someone challenge a Senator on his positions on issues that affect the American people. The small minded proletariat don't understand whats actually good for us. Only the Elitist Members of Congress are smart enough to fully comprehend the difficult challenges which the tax-payers are obligated to pay for.
