Preparing for War with Iran

Iran's coastline is approximately 1,516 miles long and during a visit to the port city of Bandar Abbas, Defense Minister Mahmoud Najjar said, "One of the strategies of the defense ministry is to promote our operations and combat forces capabilities by building ships and submarines and through the cooperation with the Gulf states...that the Navy applies creative and innovative methods, uses asymmetric warfare and depends on domestically made products...Iran will use nuclear weapons if threatened by any power."

Of course this all comes at a time when Iran continues to claim that its Nuclear programs are for peaceful energy producing purposes and not military applications.

Approximately 38,000 Men serve in the Iranian conventional Navy and the "Iranian Revolution Guard Corps" (IRGC) under the direction of General Yaha Rahim-Safavi, has said that, "...the plans of the corp is using asymmetric warfare by improving projection capabilities...the Navy wants to improve its missile systems and surveillance capabilities..."

Iran claims that its "peaceful need to protect its own bases and oil facilities." (Including the ones that Iran has attacked and illegally seized) Iran's Navy attacked and took control of a Romanian Oil Platform working in the Persian Gulf in the 'Salman Field'. Iranian President Ahmadinjed has likewise been threatening the United Arab Emirates to help seize other oil platforms close to the Straits of Hormuz, which 20% of the worlds oil supplies move through.

Iran's Naval strength is divided into 2 main forces, one is the Navy within the Iranian Regular Armed Forces and the other with the IRGC. Both forces have been updating and improving their equipment. Iran likewise has a small submarine fleet of Iranian and Russian made submarines which Vladimir Pakhomov, Deputy Director General of 'Rosoboronexport' is helping to modernize the Iranian submarine fleet.

As Iran's submarine fleet continues to modernize, last year it launched a long range missile in a test from a submarine in the Persian Gulf.

The Iranian build up towards war is becoming increasingly evident as it expands its mini-submarine fleet that it manufactures domestically and last year it displayed its latest Patrol Boats (PT Boats) during their military exercises. These PT Boats are an effective naval vessel that could be utilized to attack larger ships. "Joshan" a new PT Boat enjoys the latest technology with a speed of 45 knots and capable of using various missiles and rockets with a range beyond 62 miles and with a high maneuverability to help it escape torpedo's.

The likelihood of a war in the middle east is quite high and if a war is to be waged against the Islamic fundamentalists Iran & Syria, as continued diplomatic efforts appear to be failing, there is a need for the United States and its Allies to continue to build up and re-deploy Naval forces in the region.

Phillip Sherwell writes that "...the U.S. prepares for a military blitz against Iran's Nuclear sites..." ( Daily Telegraph, February 12, 2006) Despite the public posturing of diplomacy, preparations for a military invasion may take months to prepare. An example of this is 'Operation Overland' (D-Day) which officially took 18 months to set the stage of that invasion during W.W.II

As U.S. Naval Forces are being seen building up off the Iranian coast from 3 different strike groups, there is also considerable military movement in the region and build up of Allied Forces as countries such as Italy has re-deployed troops to the region from Iraq. Spanish units are being deployed, German warships (the first German deployment to the middle east since W.W.II) the coalition includes the Governments of Great Britain, Australia, Canada, Denmark, Greece, Netherlands, Turkey, and France.
Both Israel and NATO would play a major roll in any U.S. led invasion, the Naval armada in the region is largely under U.S. Command.

Should an attack on Iran be launched, Israeli Intelligence Mossad has stated, "...from a hypothetical point of view, one should not assume any attack would be just limited to Iranian nuclear facilities, other targets of significant interest that could be attacked would include military bases, oil facilities and certain industrial facilities...the Iranians should not make the assumption that just because they hide a few nuclear sites they are safe, there are enough targets to exact a very heavy price on Tehran, so much so that it would render their entire nuclear exercise a losing proposition."

Many people have argued that with the United States involved in both Afghanistan and Iraq, the United States doesn't have the means to implement an attack on Iran. Uzi Arad, former Director of Mossad Intelligence Unit said, "...Iranians should not view Americas troubles in Iraq as an impediment to its ability to attack Iran...the Iranian planners should not make the easy assumption that Iraq will hamper United States efforts, Iraq gives the United States a good staging base and certain important strategic and tactical advantages...an air campaign could be launched from Iraq."

Should Iran be permitted to proceed with its nuclear programs, it will be disastrous for the entire world as it will place nuclear weapons in the hands of a totalitarian regime under the mystical direction of an apocalyptic Mahmoud Ahmadinjed and its Allies of Arab Terrorist Thugs who continue to wage their savage assault of 'Jihad" upon the Infidels.

Islam rejects reason as a means of gaining knowledge, it holds, "that all important truths are grasped by faith in the supernatural beings and sacred texts." The Quran explicitly states,"that knowledge comes from revelation, not thinking..." Islam advocates the subordination of every sphere of life, legal, politics, economics, family life and its religious dogma. The individual is not to think independently but to selflessly subordinate themselves to the dictates of Islamic religion and its theocracy.

The "War on Terror" is a War on Islam which has declared that all individuals should be subjugated to Islamic law worldwide and the killing of any Infidels that stand in their way.

Military force must be utilized in the preservation of our culture, self-defense against a country and its allies that intend to harm us. The adoption of a pacifist stand or to engage in endless negotiations that result in nothing but providing an enemy an opportunity to strengthen its military and nuclear programs will only result in surrender to the Islamic fascists and the world to an Islamic extremists brutality.
