In April 2006 Iranian President 'Mahmoud Ahmadinejad' posed for photos with a vial of Uranium Gas to confirm to the world that enrichment had occurred. While President Ahmadinejad has claimed to the world that Iran's Nuclear program is merely for peaceful purposes, one must examine closer Mr. Ahmadinejad claims in light of other things he has said.
In 2005 Mahmoud Ahmadinejad issued an 'annihilation warning to Israel' calling for Israel to be wiped off the map, previously he said, "...Israel is a rotten tree that could be blown away by a single storm..." Mr. Ahmadinejad restated his desire to see "...Israeli Jews resettled in Europe..." with the warning, "...this fake regime cannot logically continue to live..."
Mahmoud Ahmadinejad views himself as the 'Mahdaviat' which the word is derived from Mahdi and in Arabic means the "Rightly Guided One" and when addressing the United Nations in September, 2005 he concluded his remarks with a prayer for 'Mahdi's Appearance': "O mighty Lord, I pray to you to hasten the emergence of your last repository, the Promised One, that perfect and pure being, the one that will fill the world with justice and peace."
On returning to Iran, President Ahmadinejad recalled the U.N. Speech this way, "...one of our group told me that when I started to say O mighty Lord, he saw a light around me and I was placed in an aura, I felt it myself. I felt the atmosphere suddenly change and for those 27 or 28 minutes the leaders of the world did not blink...they were rapt. It seemed as if a hand was holding them there and had opened their eyes to receive the message from the Islamic Republic."
According to Amir Mohebian (political editor of Resalat Newspaper) "Mahadviat is a code for the revolution...if I think Mahdi will come in 2 or 3 or 4 years why should I be soft? Now is the time to be strong and be heard."
Hamiderza Taraghi of the Islamic Coalition Society has said, "Mr. Ahmadinejad desires to create a powerful model state based on Islamic democracy...he has predicted trouble ahead unless the Americans fundamentally change their ways."
Iran's support for international terrorist groups such as 'Hamas' and it's calling for the destruction of Israel should set off alarm bells across the world.
Fawzi Barhoum of Hamas in Gaza declared this week, "...that it was signed and sealed within the party that Israel would be wiped off the map and replaced with a Palestinian State...rockets and missiles are the means of removing Israel."
As Tehran and it's terrorist puppets escalate the conflict in Israel, Israeli Intelligence (Mossad) has recognized the following: (a) Tehran has instigated the violence and recent terror attacks to distract the worlds attention from it's nuclear program; (b) all of the terrorist activities are being organized by Iran which pays for all of the military training and weapons being launched against Israeli civilians; (c) Israeli Defense Forces have located tunnels underneath the 'Philadelphi Corridor' in which Hamas trained terrorists have smuggled weapons and long range rockets into Gaza; (d) Mossad estimates that Iran may be much closer in the development of nuclear weapons than CIA estimates and Iran may master the technology to produce nuclear weapons within the next 2 years and not the 5-10 years estimated by the CIA.
Given the repeated threats by President Ahmadinejad, of Israel's right to exist and the latest threats this week by Hamas calling for the destruction of Israel, these repeated threats must be taken very seriously.
Iran's nuclear menace is far reaching and not just limited to Israel. Mordechai Kedar, Ph.D. a researcher at 'Ben-Han University' at the Begin-Sadat Centre for Strategic Studies reported last week, "...Iran poses a grave threat to the Australian national security...Tehran aims to combine it's nuclear capabilities with submarines and missiles...Australia isn't any more distant than the rest of the world. One submarine in the Indian Ocean, another in the Atlantic and a third in the Pacific, at a distance that would allow Iranian subs to hit Tokyo, Sydney, New York or London and Iran will rile the world..." Dr. Kedar has further said, "...Irans's primary target is not Israel but rather the Persian Gulf which Tehran aims to control with the help of Shi'ite communities in Bahrain, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia and Iraq...Iran's nuclear facilities can still be destroyed by air without the need of a land invasion."
Former Israeli PM and Likuid Party Head 'Benjamin Netanyahu' who visited the United States earlier this year has encouraged the world to apply economic pressures on Iran which Mr. Netanyahu said, "...Tehran is extremely vulnerable to economic pressures and the West must through divestment pull the plug on investing in Iran...today the American people are invested in Iran, not directly as that is against U.S. law rather through pension, savings plans and other diversified investment dollars...mostly through European companies that do business with Iran. By insisting that investment dollars not be used in Iran, the American people can send a powerful and effective message...for some European companies, the decision to pull the plug on investing in Iran will be more painful but these companies will adapt quickly to a divestment environment...the blow to Tehran could prove fatal as fewer and fewer companies will enter Iran as more and more investment dollars leave the country and technology that it purchases will dry up. Tehran will face a stark choice, change it's policies to win back investment or maintain it's policies and face economic collapse...divestment against Iran is right for the same reason why divestment from Nazi Germany in the 1930's and 1940's would have been the right thing to do."
Islamic extremism is being exported to the USA as 'Al-Qaida' is aggressively recruiting Americans to convert to Islam as Al-Qaida attempts to lower it's Arab profile and to reduce the odds that it's terror cells operating within the United States will be subjected to security scrutiny. Non-Arab Al-Qaida operatives could find it easier to operate since they may not fit typical profiles. In the latest message from Al-Qaida's #2, Dr. Ayman al Zawahiri, he clearly seeks to sow the political and racial discontent among African Americans as he has made frequent references to 'Malcom X' and which he has said, "...I want African Americans in the USA to know that they are waging a Jihad to lift oppression from all mankind and to follow the example of Malcom X who was not afraid to sacrifice his life to fight American oppression. Freedom is something that you have to do for yourself, the price of freedom is death."
Dr. Zawahiri focus may be benefiting from the input of 'Adam Gadahn" from Southern California and a caucasian convert to Islam and currently a Senior Member of Al-Qaida's media committee. Mr. Gadahn is currently wanted by the FBI for Treason against the United States having been now indicted in Federal Court in California and the first American since 1952 to have been indicted for Treason. In a taped message, Mr. Gadahn warns, "...imminent attacks on America unless the USA halts it's military operations in Iraq and Afghanistan..." Mr. Gadahn likewise threatens Great Britain and Australia and on the rest of his tape, Mr. Gadahn attempts to dispel rumors that Osama bin Laden is dead and he closes by mentioning the names of the 9/11 hijackers who flew passenger planes into buildings in New York and Washington and then concludes saying, "Everyone is Mahmoud Atta."
Iran is a very real and serious threat to global peace and security as it continues to export terrorism through it's network throughout the world and through operatives within the United States. This threat must be taken very seriously and must not be ignored hoping that somehow everything will just work itself out.
