As the One Child Policy approached its 30 year anniversary on September 25, an internal debate could be seen playing out in the Chinese media: Was the policy a good or bad thing for the country? Should or should it not be rescinded?
One Child Policy Victim Ke Chengping, a woman from Shanghai was forced to have an abortion and be sterilized as a result of China's One Child Policy.

Beijing 2008 Olympic Torch Removal
Beijing Times reports that following the removal of the Olympic Torch from the Birds Nest, the structure will undergo a series of renovations and refashined into a statue.

Beichuan Middle School Destroyed By Sichuan Quake Rebuilt, Students Return To Campus
Newly rebuilt Beichuan Middle School, Sichuan Province. In late August, students began moving in to their new dormitories---classes resumed on September 01
Newly rebuilt campus of Beichuan Middle School in Sichuan Province. Campus of the new school will accommodate 5,200 students and includes dormitories, a library, dining hall, etc.
Newly rebuilt campus of Beichuan Middle School, students began checking-in to their new school in late August.
The new Beichuan Middle School in Sichuan Province---Students are seen checking-in to their new campus. More than 3,000 students will return here from their temporary school in Mianyang.
Liang Huan helps Li Anqiang, check into the newly built Beichuan Middle School, Sichuan Province. Liang helped Li out of the ruins of Beichun Middle School following the catastrophic earthquake on the 12 May, 2008

Chinese Companies Ordered To Limit Use Of Foreign Security Technologies
Censorship/Propaganda: Chinese Journalists & Bloggers were instructed by the Chinese Communist Party to "properly report on demonstrations in Hong Kong and not allow themselves to be taken advantage of by anti-mainland sentiment."
