Criminal Justice Students Investigating Death Of Former Intern Chandra Levy

Criminal Justice students at Bauder College in Georgia have undertaken a project to investigate the death of Chandra Levy the former Intern for the Federal Bureau of Prisons in Washington.

She was last seen on April 30, 2001 former Member of Congress Gary Condit, D-CA is suspected of having something to do with disappearance. Ms. Levy's. The former Member of Congress who represented the Congressional District where Ms. Levy was from at first denied having an affair with her but subsequently his statements left the door open that the Congressman was in-fact having an extra-marital affair with the California Intern.

Chandra Levy's remains were discovered on May 22, 2002 by a man walking his dog and have officially declared her death a homicide. The death remains a Cold Case on the District of Columbia Police web site and the FBI says the case remains open.

Since 2005 students at Bauder College have studied Cold Cases according to Sheryl McCollum the Institute Director as part of the Investigative Research Institute.

The 50 students plan to turn their findings and recommendations over to the District of Columbia Police and FBI at the end of the term.

Chandra Levy's Mother Susan, welcomes the renewed attention into her daughters death saying, "...its always good to have a fresh look...there is a lot of things that don't make sense."
