Nancy Pelosi, before she was House Speaker, accused then Speaker Dennis Hastert "...of continuing to give the American people empty rhetoric rather than join Democrats who are working to lower gas prices..."
Well here is the Democrats Big Opportunity to demonstrate how they are going to lower oil prices and stop with the rhetoric.
The Energy Department has predicted that gasoline prices could rise to $3.41 a gallon for regular unleaded by May, should refiners face the same kind of outages and maintenance issues that they did last year. The average price of a gallon of regular unleaded gasoline hit $3.22 last May---Gasoline prices continue to rise despite the promises of the Democrats who now control both Houses of Congress.
