On January 1st a new law took affect in New York which airlines do not like---passengers that are now stranded aboard aircraft for hours are entitled to fresh water, snacks, fresh air and clean lavatories.
State law makers took action after Jet Blue Valentine Day fiasco in 2007 when packed aircraft sat on the tarmac for up to 7 hours waiting to take-off. Signs posting in the new law were displayed in airports on New Years Day.
