Shin Bet---the Israeli Security Agency has estimated that the Terrorist group Hamas which is financed by Iran, has used tunnels like this one to smuggle into Gaza up to 80 tons of weapons, IDF has unearthed 12 tunnels in 2007. Likewise Hezbollah helps to funnel about $10 Million Dollars per month to Terrorists operating in Gaza according to Shin Bet.According to Shin Bet the Islamic Terrorist Thugs have used tunnels in an attempt to smuggle other Jihadists into Gaza---IDF Soldiers have arrested more than 4,000 Islamic Terrorists between January-October, 2007 of that number 117 were believed to be suicide bombers. Likewise 220 Palestinians have been arrested by IDF suspected of being involved with Terrorism.
Hamas also has smuggled Terrorist Thugs back and forth through the tunnels to commando camps in Iran and Syria for 2-6 month training.
While the Islamic Terrorist Thugs were only successful in carrying out one suicide bombing in 2007 they were able to fire over 1,300 Qassam Rockets into Israel---there has been an increase in smaller scale attacks against innocent civilian targets according to Shin Bet as Jihadists have thrown more Molotov cocktails and rocks at cars during 2007
